A Hispano Moresque Style Spanish Porcelain Plate, finished in a deep copper lustre which was a common feature of the ceramic process of the time. This piece makes great use of floral motifs, which are contrasted against the metallic copper elements of the background. This is the result of firing the pieces twice, and applying a metalic pigment in between. This resulting copper iridescence is what made Hispano Moresque ceramics so desirable at the time of production.
