Demonstrating the artistic simplicity of Jalisco art and seated in a stoic pose, this beautiful woman is a woman of mystery, without name and without social place. The elongated features accentuate her beauty, emphasizing the symmetry of her eyes, long aquiline nose and prominent ears. Though the red glaze seems faded, her beauty remains, growing as each year passes, as we gaze over the simplicity of line and elegance. The earthenware adds solidarity and permanence to her place in our lives, bringing with her the mysteries of the past.
