This hemispherical, earthenware bowl rests on three well modeled animal -head rattle legs, the details of which are enhanced with red and black markings. The exterior is not decorated except for a simple band work around the rim of the bowl. The interior of the bowl is divided into registers, which hold a variety of geometric patterns using predominantly red and beige, outlined in brown. In the center of the bowl, the artist has depicted a modified version of a serpent or reptile. The artist has attempted use all the space allowed to him without creating confusion in his work. The contrast between the simplicity of the exterior and the complexity of the interior, create a balance, which would otherwise be lost. The legs, bring the whole piece together, creating a complete work of art, which can be enjoyed today, as much as it was when it was first created.
